Our Attorneys
José Manuel Godínez Samperio, Esq.
Jose Manuel is an experienced immigration attorney who understands what it is like to navigate complex immigration agencies.
Although Jose Manuel was born in Mexico, he entered the United States in 1995 with a tourist visa. As a 9 year-old child, Jose Manuel overstayed his tourist visa with his parents, becoming undocumented.
Despite lacking lawful immigration status, Jose Manuel graduated with his Bachelor of Arts degree with a concentration in Anthropology in 2008. His undergraduate thesis centered on the immigrant community from Mexico in Clearwater, Florida. In 2011, Jose Manuel earned his Juris Doctor degree from Florida State University College of Law. Initially, the Florida Supreme Court denied his ability to practice law because he was undocumented, but Jose Manuel did not give up. With the help of his attorneys, Jose Manuel advocated for a change in law at the Florida legislature. In May of 2014, the Florida legislature changed the law, allowing Jose Manuel to practice law. Jose Manuel has been licensed by the Florida Supreme Court ever since.
Jose Manuel went on to study a Master's in criminal law at the State Autonomous University of Hidalgo in 2019. Jose Manuel is currently a doctoral candidate at the National Autonomous University of Mexico.
In addition to his academic credentials and personal experience with the U. S. immigration law system, Jose Manuel has extensive experience practicing immigration law. Jose Manuel has over 10 years of experience defending immigrants and resolving cases. In addition to being licensed in the U. S., Jose Manuel is also licensed in Mexico with experience in criminal, family, and civil law.

Daisy Delatorre, Esq.
Attorney Daisy Delatorre, Esq., was born and raised in Bradenton, Florida, in an immigrant family. She is Mexican-American and is passionate about immigrant rights. In 2017, she graduated from Florida State University with her Bachelor of Arts in criminology. She went on to attend Stetson College of Law the same year. During law school, she led immigrant rights groups as well as interned at a local immigration law firm. In 2020, she earned her Juris Doctor and was admitted to the Florida Bar. She worked as a public defender for nearly two years, before transitioning to private immigration law practice. Attorney Daisy Delatorre is now a partner at Pathway Legal Group, PLLC.
She loves dogs, reading, food, the outdoors, and spending time with her husband and family.

The Violence Against Women Act (VAWA) protects men and women who are survivors of domestic violence by a U. S. citizen or legal permanent resident spouse. In some scenarios, survivors of abuse by their U. S. citizen children over 21 may also qualify. Although the abuse must have happened in the U. T Visa
T Visa
The T Visa is for victims of severe trafficking. Trafficking may involve forced labor or sexual abuse. Qualifying persons may be eligible for an employment authorization document while the process is pending. After three years of T Nonimmigrant status, qualifying persons may be eligible for a greencard.
U Visa
Victims of certain crimes who cooperate with the authorities in the investigation of those crimes may qualify for U Nonimmigrant Status. After three years with U Nonimmigrant Status, qualifying persons may be eligible for a greencard.
Affirmative Asylum
Certain persons who face severe harm in their home country may apply for asylee status. The severe harm must be on account of race, nationality, religion, political opinion, or particular social group.
